Carefully remove the generator and any accessories from the box. Inspect the generator to ensure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping. Do not discard the packing material until you have thoroughly inspected the generator and verified that it operates satisfactorily.
Ensure that all items listed in the unassembled parts list are included. Refer to the packing list for a complete inventory of components.
Follow the assembly instructions as outlined in the manual. This may include attaching the wheel assembly, handle assembly, and foot assembly. Ensure that all components are securely fastened.
Fill the engine with oil using the container provided. Check the engine oil level and add oil as necessary to meet the required specifications.
Fill the fuel tank with fresh gasoline. Ensure the fuel valve is in the correct position to allow fuel flow to the engine.
Ensure the air filter is clean and properly installed. Do not operate the generator without the air filters as rapid engine wear will result.
Turn the fuel valve to the ON position. Move the choke lever to the ON (closed) position for starting a cold engine. Turn the engine switch to the ON position. Pull the recoil starting grip lightly until you feel resistance, then pull it briskly. Return the grip gently to its original place after starting.
Once the generator is running, check for proper operation. Ensure that all electrical outputs are functioning as expected and that the unit operates smoothly without excessive vibration or noise.
